    Raised in New York City, Adam Rosner developed an early interest in medicine that paved the way for his prominent career in optometry. Despite the significant obstacles presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, he excelled in refining his expertise and strengthening his commitment to delivering exemplary patient care.

     

    Career Journey

     

    He embarked on his journey to become an optometrist by shadowing notable local doctors, including Dr. Rachid Aouchiche. He earned his Ophthalmology Assistant Program certification under the tutelage of Richard McCoy, LDO, and received hands-on experience at Elmquest Eye Group. His passion for the medical field continued to grow, solidifying his dedication to healthcare. His undergraduate education in Communications and Biology at the University of Miami prepared him to effectively interact with patients and tackle the intricacies of eye health. He completed comprehensive coursework and valuable externships in New York City, enhancing his competence to practice as a Doctor of Optometry to a high standard.

     

    Educational Background

     

    He initiated his professional education with a bachelor's degree from the University of Miami, majoring in Communications with a minor in Biology on a Pre-med track. He subsequently earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from the prestigious State University of New York College of Optometry, graduating in 2023.

     

    Clinical Experience

     

    He has extensive clinical experience, including completing 4th-year rotations at SUNY College of Optometry across multiple locations, such as Woodhull Medical Center, SUNY Advanced Care & East New York Eyecare, Omni Eye Services, and SUNY University Eye Center.

     

    Professional Achievements

     

    Adam Rosner has co-authored several medical articles, including an impactful publication by the Miller School of Medicine. He proudly belongs to the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the New York State Optometric Association (NYSOA). An honor from the University of Miami Dean's List also recognizes his scholarly efforts.

     

    Personal Interests

     

    His interests are as eclectic as his professional pursuits. Motivated by his high school AP English course, he engages in creative writing. The lockdown encouraged him to take up cooking and gardening, and he started producing his spice mixes. His enduring interest in graphic design, which he sparked in high school and maintained through freelance projects, continues as a creative outlet. These activities, catalyzed by the pandemic, enhance his daily life.
